Woodland Resource Compass
Overview
As a graphic designer at The Digital Ring, I had the opportunity to work on the development of a comprehensive survey, The Woodland Resource Compass, for our client, My Wisconsin Woods. This survey is designed to assist users who are seeking guidance on forest management plans. Whether they need more direction on caring for their woods, attracting wildlife, or effective land management, The Woodland Resource Compass guides users to resources most relevant to their needs.

Process
Working on the Typeform survey for My Wisconsin Woods was a completely new experience for me, and it came with its own set of insights and challenges. This process required a deep understanding of how to structure questions and paths to ensure that respondents navigated the survey in a logical and user-friendly manner. Navigating Typeform’s features and aligning them with the logic tree added another layer of complexity. I had to familiarize myself with how Typeform organizes questions and paths, and ensure that our logic tree matched this structure precisely. This involved meticulous cross-checking and a fair amount of trial and error to get everything in sync, but collaborating with the client and with my co-workers helped insure everything moved smoothly.
Takeaways
Despite the challenges, this project was incredibly rewarding. It provided valuable insights into survey design and highlighted the importance of precision and organization in creating effective and engaging surveys. I also was able to learn about some of the resources you might be interested in if you're a Wisconsin land owner. Overall, it was a comprehensive learning experience that enhanced my skills and deepened my understanding of survey mechanics.
